BOCCONI UNIVERSITY (UB)

Established in 1902, Università Bocconi is a university of international standing in business, economics and law. Its research projects are funded by national and supranational institutions. Being a major node in the European and global network of business and economics universities, Bocconi exchanges faculty members and cooperates on large projects with European and American universities and business schools.

Fundamental and applied research takes place in each of the disciplinary areas of the University. In particular, IEFE - Centre for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy (IEFE - Istituto di Economia e Politica dell’Energia e dell’Ambiente) is the research centre which co-ordinates and conducts applied research in the following fields:

• Energy economics, focusing on energy markets as well as on natural resources;

• Environmental economics, focusing on environmental and climate policy, analysis and evaluation;

• Economics of public utilities focusing on energy, water and waste services.
