PBL NETHERLANDS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AGENCY

National institute for strategic policy analysis in the field of environment, nature and spatial planning. PBL is a part of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, though fully independent as far as the contents of its work is concerned. PBL is particularly experienced in integrated assessments of key environmental issues that go beyond a sectoral approach, analysing the causes and effects of environmental change. It evaluates and assesses policies at regional, national, European and global scale. PBL bases its studies on extensive data analyses, modelling and scenario analyses, maintaining an active dialogue with both the scientific community and policymakers.
